Ruby was delighted to attend the above 3 day young leaders congress in Washington DC.
More than 350 passionate youth advocates from around the world convened for the 7th annual Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. For three jam-packed days, these young changemakers participated in leadership training, learned from influential speakers, engaged in skills-based workshops, and lead an official lobby day on Capitol Hill.
Through mentorship by Girl Up experts, celebrity champions, women trailblazers, and gender equality experts, Summit participants gained core leadership skills, training in community-building and advocacy, and experience interacting with members of Congress on Capitol Hill. The Summit worked to empower, educate and embolden the potential of every youth leader there.
Ruby was thrilled to be chosen as a speaker and delivered her speech to hundreds of young women from across the world.
